Mount Ridley P-12 College was established at the end of 2009, it’s situated inside the City of Hume, one of Melbourne’s growth corridors. The College is located on the 13.66 hectare property located along Hampton Street in Craigieburn and just 26 kilometers to the to the north of Melbourne’s CBD The College offers both secondary and primary students. It currently has an enrollment of less than 2600 students throughout the College. The college’s Student Family Occupation (SFO) index is 0.63 and its Student Family Occupation and Education (SFOE) index is 0.51.

The College provides curriculum as well as facilities to students from Prep to Year 12 and is governed by one School Council. It has an innovative and adaptable design that can accommodate modern and dynamic pedagogical practices in State education. It is located next to Maternal and Child Health Service established through Hume City Council. Mount Ridley College is well supported by a variety of facilities. The buildings within the early Years Mini-School are built around Learning Neighbourhoods that have interactive, creative and reflective spaces throughout every neighbourhood. There are Prep, Years 1 and 2 and Years 3 and 4 Learning Neighbourhoods. The creative spaces are utilized to work in small groups and to solve problems or for project-based activities. An open space located in the middle of each Learning Neighbourhood is used for large-scale group work as well as team-based teaching. An art-related learning area is also included in every neighbourhood. Additionally, there’s an area for music that is separate as well as a multipurpose space and gymnasium which can be utilized for performances and activities in the indoors. A library, canteen and an area designated for administration serve the requirements of the early Years Mini-School.
